The Industry Collection of Gold Bars Worldwide enables GIR to stage Exhibitions for institutions and companies who wish to capitalise on man’s fascination with gold.

The spectacular success that every Exhibition has achieved confirms that man’s appetite for gold is insatiable.  Wherever the Exhibition goes, it captures the imagination of the media and the thousands who flock to see it.

Since 1994, Exhibitions have been staged in Germany, Singapore, Dubai, Thailand and Brazil, as well as at the Bank of England Museum in London.

CONTENTS

The Exhibition tells the story of gold from its original form as ore or nuggets - through gold bars - to its use within the jewellery, electronics, dental, decorative and investsment industries.

It displays hundreds of standard, unusual and innovative gold bars of all shapes and sizes. It also contains examples of gold-bearing ore, bar manufacturing equipment, the world’s leading gold bullion coins, as well as examples of the end uses of gold.

The Exhibition illustrates the evolution of gold bars, from Pakistan’s small tezabi bars which have been manufactured in the same way for thousands of years, to the world’s first colourful hologram bars that were pioneered in Switzerland.

Other bars, such as Vietnamese “gold leaf” bars, used by the Boat People as they fled to safety, are poignant reminders of the role gold has played throughout civilisation’s history.
